Here are some RapidShare Hacks and tricks that will keep you away from worrying about download times and limits.
Rapidshare keeps tracks of its users by their ip addresses. They limit ip addresses to a maximum amount of download per day.
To overcome this, you need to change your ip. Do the following:
1. Using JavaScript code
i. Go to the download page
ii. Click on the "Free" button
iii. type "javascript:alert(c=0)" in the address bar.
iv. Click "OK"
v. Click "OK" on the pop-up window
vi. Enter captcha
vii. Download.
2. Requesting for a new ip address
i. If you are on dynamic ip, just switch off the modem ad then connect again. This should get you a new ip.
ii. Delete the rapidshare cookie i your computer.
For Firefox, go to Tools>Options>Select Privacy>Cookies>View Cookies.
Just delete all the rapidshare cookies there.
iii. To delete cookies, you can do this too.
Go to the start menu and select "Run".
Type cmd.exe.
A command prompt will open, just type the following lines:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
exit
You have to be on a dynamic ip address to make this work. If your ip is fixed, then it wont work.
3. Use a proxy
Using a proxy seems to work fine. Google search the words "proxy sites" and you will come up with a handful of proxy sites. Proxy sites work from a different ip address than yours, all you need to do is copy and paste the download link on the address bar within the proxy site.
4. Use these tools
These tools will help you to manage your downloads, enable simultaneous downloads by using different proxies, change proxies, etc. Some pf these also has download prioritizer, link checker, and can enhance your download speed.
